Mar 5, 2009 -- David J. Srolovitz, Ph.D., dean of Yeshiva College, has been awarded the distinguished title of MRS Fellow by the Materials Research Society. The title of MRS Fellow honors MRS members who are notable for their outstanding research accomplishments and their contributions to the advancement of materials research worldwide. He holds a doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania. His research has been sponsored by the United States Department of Energy, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, National Institute of Standards and Technology and the Office of Naval Research. Dr. Srolovitz was appointed the tenth dean of Yeshiva College in 2006.
