Sep 20, 2004 -- Students at YU and the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) spent their summer in Melbourne, Australia, sharing their Torah knowledge with local high school students. Run by RIETS’ Max Stern Division of Communal Services, Counterpoint enriches Jewish knowledge and observance in locations worldwide through intensive learning and creative programs. This year, Counterpoint marked its 30th anniversary in Melbourne. The YU team also spent a week in New Zealand’s Auckland and Wellington communities.
